Iconic Breaks Park overlook above the Russell Fork gorge with a clear view of the Towers - the massive sandstone pyramid the river bends around.
Towers Tunnel Overlook is one of the signature stops inside Breaks Interstate Park. A short paved walk from the parking area leads to a railed deck looking straight down on the Russell Fork River, the namesake Towers formation, and the railroad tunnel cut through the rock. Sunrise and the post-storm hours are the most dramatic, when mist fills the gorge. Easy enough for a quick stop in driving clothes, spectacular enough to anchor a full visit.

Highest point in Dickenson County with a stone observation tower - on a clear day you can see multiple states from the top.
Birch Knob sits on the western side of Dickenson County above Clintwood. The summit holds a stone observation tower with steps to the top.
